AVAILABLE AT THE TUSTEN THEATRE BOX OFFICE
Set in America’s heartland during the Great Depression, the story follows a traveling con man Moses Pray (Ryan O’Neal) who finds himself saddled with a young girl, Addie (seven-year-old Tatum O’Neal), who may or may not be his daughter. The two forge an unlikely partnership swindling widows, shopkeeps, and bootleggers, trying to stay one step ahead of the law in their broken down model T. The film co-stars Madeline Kahn and PJ Johnson.
Expertly balancing tone (and avoiding too much sentimentality), PAPER MOON is a deft blend of film nostalgia and finely tuned performances, especially from Tatum O’Neal, who won an Oscar for her debut. It was shot in stunning monochrome by renowned cinematographer Laszlo Kovacs.
PAPER MOON is rated PG and is appropriate for all audiences. Bring the whole family to enjoy this classic American film. Popcorn and sweet treats are available at the concession stand.
